Hon. Dilip Dattatray Walase Patil
Hon. Dilip Dattatray Walse Patil (born 30 October 1956) is an Indian politician, from Ambegaon, Maharashtra, and a seven-time Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He served as the Minister of Home Affairs in the Government of Maharashtra. He formerly headed the Ministry of Finance and Planning, Energy Ministry, Higher and Technical Education Ministry, and Medical Education Ministry, all as a Cabinet Minister from 1999 to 2009. He also serves as the President of National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Limited (NFCSF). He became Maharashtra's Home Minister on 5 April 2021 succeeding Anil Deshmukh who resigned due to graft charges..
Hon. Dilip Walase Patil
Hon. Dilip Walse Patil is a member of the Nationalist Congress Party, and known to be a close associate of party President Hon. Sharad Pawar. Hon. Dilip Walse Patil earlier served in the Government of Maharashtra as a minister with different portfolios such as Finance and Planning, Energy, Higher and Technical Education, and Medical Education. Hon. Dilip Walse Patil comes from a political family. He started his political career as a PA to Hon. Sharad Pawar, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He defeated Kisanrao Bankhele in Ambegaon in 1990 to become a MLA for the first time. At present he is still representing the same constituency for Seven consecutive term. Apart from the energy portfolio, Hon. Dilip Walse Patil also held the education portfolio in the Maharashtra cabinet. Changes to make the admission procedure for medical seats more transparent were made during his tenure. He also encouraged the setup of new engineering colleges by easing the approval process. Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation (MKCL) is his creation, which has more than 5000 MSCIT centers all over Maharashtra. He played a key role in the establishment of Government College of Engineering as well as Polytechnic and engineering in 2009 at Avsari (K). He took charge of the Ministry of Home Affairs replacing Anil Deshmukh in the Thackeray ministry after the latter resigned due to graft charges, on 5 April 2021.

The keel of Shri Pandurang Gramin Vikas Pratishthan was laid by founder Chairman hon’able Pandurang Pawar Saheb in the year 1996. Pandurang Gramin vikas Pratishthan is playing a vital role in developing rural area in India in various ways. This Pratisthan was founded with the grand object of gathering youth in the rural area and inspire them to develop their overall personality and help the needy people in village doing this to serve the Nation .It is Hon’able Pandurang Pawar Saheb’s strong conviction that rural youth play a vital role in nation building . Pawar sahib is influenced and impressed by the thought of Mahatma Gandhi to serve the people in village If the youth in village is provided quality education they will get service in administration in various part in the nation and serve the nation. In order to give quality education to the youth in the Eastern part of the Pune district he founded Dilip Walase Patil College of Arts Commerce& Science in Nimgaon sawa,Tal-Junnar,Dist-Pune this Pratishthan influenced by the great tradition of “Varakari Sampraday” and that is why the slogan of this college is “Vishnuvin Jap ..Vyarth Tyache Dnyan” .

To start an educational institute in such rural area was a very difficult task but Pawar Saheb accepted the challenge and started this college with great courage. Shri Pandurang Gramin Vikas Pratisthan is bound to grow enormously under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Namdar shri. Dilip Walase Patil, whose entire life was dedicated to the service of farmers and rural community. Pandurang junior College (Commerce & Science) was also founded in 2014.
The foundation of Dilip Walase Patil College of Arts Commerce & Science and Pandurang junior College was the humble beginning to provide urban facilities to the rural area. In this way Shri Pandurang Gramin Vikas Pratisthan is on the way of becoming role model rural educational center in the nation.
